FRITZ THOMPSON
Fritz Thompson is a motivational speaker and author, dedicated to inspiring reflection on topics such as resilience, overcoming adversity, and self-help.
His astonishing and moving life story has been shared for over 20 years through his renowned talk “I Can’t Do What?”, awakening in his audience the drive needed to overcome any challenge life may bring.
A Mechanical Engineer and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Texas, Fritz also holds a Master's in Business Administration from UDLA and a Master’s in Senior Management from IPADE. Yet, his greatest life lesson came from fate on a tragic day—April 24, 2001.
A devastating car accident injured Fritz’s spinal cord at the neck level, leaving him paralyzed and facing a life confined to a bed and a wheelchair. The medical diagnosis was irreversible quadriplegia. Today, however, Fritz is a triathlete, competing without a wheelchair, under the same conditions as any other athlete. With perseverance, unwavering determination, and an unbreakable spirit, Fritz turned years of therapy and rehabilitation into powerful life lessons that now inspire thousands who attend his conferences and follow him on social media.
He has been featured in print, radio, and television, sharing the stage and microphone with personalities like Carmen Aristegui, OV7, Susana Zabaleta, Martha Debayle, Ricardo Rocha, Sergio Sarmiento, Alejandro Cacho, and Julieta Lujambio, among others. He is also the author of the books:
“I’d Rather Push My Life,” “It Happened in an Instant,” and “I Can’t Do What?”
